Everyone knows that Christmas is a very special time to spend the holidays with your family. No matter where they are, or what they do, you try your very best to be with them for the holiday. But, for Pierce Vaughan, a Delta Airlines flight attendant, she just couldn’t get off work for the holiday. Seeing as so many people fly and travel for Christmas, she just had to work.
Her father, Hal Vaughan, wouldn’t let his daughter celebrate Christmas alone. Instead of letting Pierce work through the holiday by herself, Hal booked six flights that would take him all over the United States—just so he could be with his daughter.
One of the passengers on a flight from Fort Myers to Detroit, Mike Levy, sat next to Hal and wrote about it on Facebook.
Levy’s post read:
“I had the pleasure of sitting next to Hal on my flight back home. His daughter Pierce was our flight attendant who had to work over Christmas. Hal decided he would spend the holiday with her. So, he is flying on each of her flights today and tomorrow around the country to spend time with his daughter for Christmas. What a fantastic father! Wish you both a very Merry Christmas!”
Pierce also posted about it on her Facebook saying:
“Look ma we made it Kimberly Hal Vaughan. Dad’s first trip using his benefits was a success. A special thanks to all of the patient, wonderful gate agents around the country and my perfect crew. He made it on every flight and even got first class RSW-DTW (Christmas miracle.)”
People on the internet were totally moved by the story.
What a heartwarming holiday treat.
