Many moms have very specific, set-in-stone opinions about breastfeeding. When they decide to do it, it’s a special, touching, and unique experience between a mom and her baby. Not all moms decide to breastfeed—or can breastfeed—but, those who do tend to feel very strongly about it. But, what are you to do when you’re not around your child and have no extra milk pumped?
Meg, who runs the website TheMilkMeg.com, shared the story of how she helped her sister out by breastfeeding her nephew while her sister was at work. According to Meg, her nephew wouldn’t take a bottle, so, she offered him the source.
My gorgeous little nephew! While my sister was at work today I tried to give him a bottle of her expressed milk a few times (which he wouldn’t take). I could see he was tired so I popped him on the boob and voila, he was asleep in minutes.
Many moms on Facebook were divided on whether or not they were comfortable with the idea of another woman/mother breastfeeding their child—whether or not it was their sister. Some moms thought it was beautiful, and shared that they’ve done it before, too.
But, there were some online who were uncomfortable with the idea of someone else nursing their child at all.
What do you think?
