Sometimes, not everyone can spend Christmas at home with their family and instead, are in hospitals receiving treatment for illnesses—even children. One non-profit organization has decided, since 2016, to bring the Christmas spirit to the hospital rooms of little children everywhere who may not be able to be home for the holidays.
The project started in Melbourne where volunteers took pictures of children and then used green screens to create incredible scenes and showcases. But, the project grew and this year, there have been global visits to numerous hospitals in over three countries.
Heart Project co-founder and Story Art creator Karen Alsop said:
The idea sprouted from a conversation between myself and Adam Cubito (Heart Project co-founder) in 2016. We knew that Photographic Art had the ability to transport kids into another world and realized that this would be an incredible project to run in a hospital where many families couldn’t return home for Christmas.
The photos are incredible.
