Each year, The International Association of Birth Photographers holds a competition that features the most stunning birth photos from around the world.

These photos manage to capture all the raw emotions that accompany the birth experience and are simply beautiful to look at.

Here are the winners and some of the honorable mentions from the 2019 competition.

First Place Winner

"Our Rainbow Baby Is Finally Here" is by Australia's Belle Verdiglione of Belle Verdiglione Photography.

It won for Best Overall Photo and shows the moment a family finally welcomes its newest addition.
